Hacıağa Hacılı

Hacıağa Hacılı is an Azerbaijani defensive midfielder who was born on 30 January 1998. He developed in Azerbaijan’s youth football system and made his Premier League debut for Qabala against Sabail on 24 February 2018. Qarabag signed Hacılı in January 2019, and he was part of the squad that won the 2018/19 Premyer Liqa title. He moved to Zira on loan in August 2020 before completing a permanent transfer to the club in 2023. At Zira, he has established himself as a holding midfielder, helping screen the defence, contest possession and start attacks from deep. His listed position is defensive midfield, while his height of 183 centimetres suits the physical demands of the role. Earlier in his career, Hacılı represented Azerbaijan at under-21 level, and he has also been involved in Zira’s campaigns in UEFA qualification rounds.
