Hugo Gambor

Hugo Gambor is a Central African Republic international centre-back born in Blois, France, on 30 December 2002. He developed at Blois Football 41 before joining US Orléans’s reserves in 2019 and signing his first professional contract with Paris FC in June 2020. In summer 2022, Gambor moved to USL Dunkerque, helping the club secure promotion to Ligue 2. His progress led to a January 2024 transfer to Belgian side Gent, where he made two appearances during his initial half-season. Gambor later joined ESTAC Troyes on loan in August 2025 to pursue regular Ligue 2 football. At 1.86 metres, he is primarily a right-sided centre-back who contributes to build-up through accurate short and medium passing, while also offering positional flexibility at right-back or defensive midfield. He chose the Central African Republic in 2023, debuted in 2024, and has represented the nation in World Cup qualifying.
