Hólmar Örn Eyjólfsson
Hólmar Örn Eyjólfsson is an Icelandic centre-back born in Sauðárkrókur in 1990. He developed at Tindastóll and HK, making his senior debut for HK as a teenager before moving to West Ham United in 2008. At West Ham, he captained the reserves and gained loan experience with Cheltenham Town and Roeselare. Eyjólfsson then joined VfL Bochum in 2011, where he also operated at right-back. From 2014 to 2016, he played for Rosenborg, helping the Norwegian club win consecutive league and cup doubles. He later represented Maccabi Haifa and Levski Sofia, continuing his career across European leagues. Internationally, Hólmar was part of Iceland’s squad at the 2018 World Cup and had previously become a prominent Iceland under-21 player. Since returning to Iceland in 2022, he has played for Valur Reykjavik.
