Hassani Dotson Stephenson

Hassani Dotson Stephenson is an American midfielder born in Federal Way, Washington, on August 6, 1997. He developed with Washington Premier and Crossfire Premier before playing college soccer for Oregon State from 2015 to 2018. In 72 appearances for the Beavers, Dotson played every minute of his senior season. Minnesota United selected him 31st overall in the 2019 MLS SuperDraft, and he made 24 appearances and scored four goals as a rookie. One of those goals secured Minnesota’s first playoff berth, while his performances earned him recognition as an MLS Rookie of the Year finalist and a call-up to the U.S. Under-23 national team. At the 2021 Olympic qualifying tournament, he scored twice in a 4–0 win over the Dominican Republic. After six seasons with Minnesota, Dotson joined Seattle Sounders as a free agent in December 2025, returning to his home state.
