Gļebs Mihaļcovs

Gļebs Mihaļcovs is a Latvian defender who developed at BFC Daugavpils, progressing through the club’s U14 and U16 sides between 2018 and 2020. He made his senior breakthrough for BFC Daugavpils in 2021, appearing six times as he moved into first-team football. His involvement increased to 17 matches in 2022, and by 2025 he had established himself as a regular starter, beginning 32 games. Primarily used at left-back, Mihaļcovs can also operate at right-back or in defensive midfield, offering flexibility across the back line. He started both of BFC Daugavpils’ matches in the 2025 UEFA Conference League qualifying rounds. Mihaļcovs made his Latvia U21 debut against Ireland on 10 September 2024 and has subsequently featured in U21 European Championship qualifying. He is listed with BFC Daugavpils and Latvia U21.
