Gulzhigit Borubaev

Gulzhigit Borubaev is a Kyrgyz forward born in Bishkek on April 22, 2000. He developed at Dordoi Bishkek, one of Kyrgyzstan’s established clubs, and spent a developmental loan at Ilbirs Bishkek in 2018. Returning to Dordoi in 2020, Borubaev helped the club win consecutive Kyrgyzstan Premier League titles in 2019/20 and 2020/21. He joined Alga Bishkek as a free agent in early 2024, then continued his career abroad with FC Minsk in February 2025. After a short spell in Belarus, he moved to Neman Grodno in July 2025, where he has featured in UEFA Conference League qualifying. Used primarily as a winger, Borubaev can operate wide or in advanced attacking areas, offering a route between flank play and central combinations. He progressed through Kyrgyzstan’s under-19 and under-23 teams into the senior side and was involved in 2026 World Cup qualification.
