Ricardo Martins Guimarães

Guima, whose full name is Ricardo Martins Guimarães, is a Mozambique international midfielder born in Aveiro, Portugal, in 1995. He developed at AD Taboeira before beginning his senior career with UD Oliveirense in Portugal’s second tier. In 2016, Guima joined Sporting CP and played for the club’s reserve side, Sporting B, before moving on loan to Académica in 2017–18. He later continued his career with ŁKS Łódź in Poland and then GD Chaves, where he helped the club win promotion to Portugal’s top flight in 2022. Guima made his Primeira Liga debut with Chaves and remained with the club through the 2023–24 campaign. He debuted for Mozambique in 2023 and featured during the country’s 2023 Africa Cup of Nations campaign. He is currently listed with Azerbaijan’s Zira, continuing his career as a central midfield option.
