Ander Guevara Lajo

Ander Guevara is a Spanish midfielder born in Vitoria on 7 July 1997. He began his development at Deportivo Alavés before joining Real Sociedad’s Zubieta academy in 2012. Guevara progressed through Real Sociedad C and the reserve side, developing as a deep-lying midfielder who could protect the defence and start attacks. He made his senior debut for Sociedad in the Copa del Rey against Lleida Esportiu on 26 October 2017, then played his first La Liga match against Levante in March 2019. Promoted to the first team that year, he was part of the Real Sociedad squad that won the 2019–20 Copa del Rey. In July 2023, Guevara returned to his hometown club, Alavés. There, his passing, positional discipline and defensive work continue to support the midfield.
