Gonçalo Filipe Oliveira Silva

Gonçalo Filipe Oliveira Silva is a Portuguese defender, primarily a centre-back, born in Barreiro in 1991. He developed at Barreirense before joining Vitória de Guimarães in 2010 and gaining senior experience with Lousada and Atlético Clube de Portugal. Silva moved to Braga in 2012, where he largely anchored the reserve side and earned a League Cup winner’s medal in 2012–13. In 2015, he joined Belenenses, making his Primeira Liga debut and later becoming club captain during a six-season spell. He then moved abroad to Radomiak Radom in 2021 before returning to Portugal with Farense in 2022. At Farense, Silva contributed to the club’s promotion to the top flight and remains listed with the squad. Standing 1.86 metres, he brings physical presence, aerial defending and experience at centre-back, with occasional use as a right-back.
