Gonçalo Ramos attacks space and checks runs behind the line, using off-ball movement to drag defenders and create chances for himself or teammates. Gonçalo Ramos broke through at Benfica, scoring a brace on debut and becoming a main striker after Darwin Núñez's departure. He rose through Benfica's ranks. The 2022/23 breakthrough season, culminating in the Portuguese League title in 2023, saw Ramos score 27 goals in all competitions and establish himself as the linked target in a high-pressing system. A 2023 move to PSG followed, initially on loan and then a permanent transfer for €65 million. In Paris, Ramos presses high and triggers the team's press with angled runs that block passing lanes. His role stays as a centre-forward in a 4-3-3, finishing moves near the back post and exploiting one-touch lay-offs. Gonçalo Ramos also helped Portugal win the Nations League in 2025, scoring in the final shootout for the title.
