Germán Valera Karabinaite

Germán Valera is a Spanish forward who plays as a right winger for Elche. Born in Murcia on 16 March 2002, he developed through Villarreal’s academy before joining Atlético Madrid in 2018. Valera made his senior debut for Atlético Madrid B in 2019 and later appeared in La Liga, although a shoulder injury curtailed that first-team outing. He then built experience on loan with Real Sociedad B, FC Andorra and Zaragoza, featuring regularly as he progressed through Spanish football. In 2024, he moved from Atlético to Valencia, where he made eight appearances before joining Elche on loan in February 2025. His spell contributed to Elche’s promotion, and he subsequently signed permanently with the club. Valera has also represented Spain at youth level, scoring three goals for the under-17 side at the 2019 FIFA U-17 World Cup.
