Gabriel Cordeiro Pirani

Gabriel Pirani is a Brazilian attacking midfielder born in Penápolis on 12 April 2002. He joined Santos’ academy at age 10 and signed his first professional contract in July 2018. Pirani made his senior and Série A debut for Santos against Bahia in February 2021, then scored his first professional goal against Santo André three days later. Across his Santos spell, he recorded 77 appearances, five goals and five assists before spending loan periods at Cuiabá and Fluminense. At Cuiabá, he made 10 appearances and scored once, while at Fluminense he made 24 appearances and scored twice as part of the squad that won the 2023 Copa Libertadores. Pirani later continued his career in MLS with San Diego. He has also been involved with Brazil U23, including the nation’s 2023 Pan American Games gold-medal campaign.
