Gabriel Veiga Novas

Gabri Veiga is a Spanish central midfielder from O Porriño, Galicia, who developed at Celta Vigo’s A Madroa academy after joining it at 12. He progressed to Celta’s reserve side and made his senior La Liga debut in September 2020 against Valencia. During the 2022/23 season, Veiga became a key figure for Celta, scoring 11 goals and providing four assists in 36 appearances. On the final day, he scored twice against Barcelona as Celta secured their top-flight status. In August 2023, Gabri Veiga moved from Celta to Saudi Pro League club Al-Ahli in a €40 million transfer. After two seasons in Jeddah, he joined FC Porto for approximately €15 million, continuing his career in Portugal. Veiga is known for carrying the ball forward, shooting from distance and making well-timed runs into the penalty area.
