Guglielmo Vicario

Guglielmo Vicario is an Italian goalkeeper born in Udine on 7 October 1996. He developed with Donatello Calcio, Bearzi and Cormor Calcio before joining Udinese’s youth setup, although he never made a senior appearance for the club. Vicario began his professional career on loan at Fontanafredda in Serie D during the 2014–15 season, making 30 appearances, before joining Venezia and helping them achieve successive promotions to Serie B. Cagliari signed him in 2019 and loaned him to Perugia, where he established himself as a regular in Serie B; after returning, he made his Serie A debut against Inter in April 2021. He moved to Empoli, initially on loan, and became a prominent performer, earning his first Italy call-up in September 2022. Tottenham signed Vicario in June 2023, and he quickly became their first-choice goalkeeper, combining sharp reflex saves with active involvement in build-up play. In 2023–24, he was named Goalkeeper of the Year at the London Football Awards, before helping Tottenham win the 2025 Europa League.
