Greg John Taylor

Greg John Taylor is a Scottish left-back from Greenock, known for his left-footed play and positional intelligence. After spending six years in Rangers’ youth academy, he joined Kilmarnock as a teenager in 2014, captaining the club’s under-17 and under-20 teams. Taylor made his senior debut in 2016 and helped Kilmarnock retain their Scottish Premiership status in that season’s play-off final. Over three seasons at Rugby Park, he became a regular and earned his first Scotland cap against Belgium before moving to Celtic in September 2019. At Celtic, Taylor initially operated as a conventional full-back, but Ange Postecoglou later used him in an inverted role, moving inside to support build-up and midfield overloads. He won five Scottish Premiership titles, three Scottish Cups and three League Cups with Celtic, and was selected for the 2022/23 PFA Scotland Premiership Team of the Year. In July 2025, Taylor joined PAOK, taking his experience of domestic success and European football to Greece.
