Gabriel Paweł Słonina

Gabriel Paweł Słonina is an American goalkeeper born in Addison, Illinois, on 15 May 2004. He developed with the Chicago Fire academy and signed his first professional contract with the club in March 2019, aged 14. Słonina made his MLS debut for Chicago Fire against New York City FC in August 2021, becoming the league’s youngest starting goalkeeper and keeping a clean sheet. In 2022, he started 32 matches and recorded 12 clean sheets before joining Chelsea in August that year. He later spent the 2023–24 season with AS Eupen in Belgium, gaining senior experience in the Pro League. At international level, Słonina chose the United States and became the youngest goalkeeper to play for the senior team in January 2023. He is also listed with Chelsea and the United States U23 team.
