Giorgio Scalvini

Giorgio Scalvini is an Italian centre-back born on December 11, 2003, in Chiari. He began his development at Pro Palazzolo before joining Brescia at age ten. In 2015, Scalvini moved to Atalanta’s academy at Zingonia, where he developed into a senior player for the club. He won the Supercoppa Primavera in January 2021, then made his Serie A debut against Udinese in October that year. In April 2022, he made his European debut against RB Leipzig and scored his first senior goal against Verona later that month. On May 22, 2024, Scalvini appeared in the Europa League final as Atalanta defeated Bayer Leverkusen 3–0 to win the club’s first major European trophy. He suffered a ruptured ACL on the final day of the 2023–24 season, forcing him to miss Euro 2024.
