Gilli Rólantsson Sørensen

Gilli Rólantsson Sørensen is a Faroese centre-back who has also operated in wider defensive and attacking roles during a career across Denmark, Norway and the Faroe Islands. He developed at TB Tvøroyri before moving abroad and later joined Aalborg BK. At AaB, he was part of the squad that won the Danish Superliga and DBU Pokalen in 2013–14. Rólantsson then spent four seasons with SK Brann, becoming a regular and adapting toward a wing-back role. In 2021, he joined Odd BK before returning to Denmark with Vejle Boldklub and later spending time back at TB Tvøroyri. He joined KÍ Klaksvík in 2025, bringing experience to the Faroese club scene. Internationally, Gilli Rólantsson has represented the Faroe Islands in European qualifying and Nations League campaigns, scoring his first senior goal against Andorra in 2017. At 1.87m, he provides height in defensive duels and remains a versatile option for club and country.
