Grischa Prömel

Grischa Prömel is a German midfielder born on 9 January 1995 in Bad Cannstatt. He developed with TSV RSK Esslingen and Stuttgarter Kickers before joining Hoffenheim’s under-19 side in 2013. Under Julian Nagelsmann, Prömel helped Hoffenheim win the 2013–14 U19 Bundesliga title and made one senior appearance in 2014–15. He moved to Karlsruher SC in 2015, gaining regular experience in the 2. Bundesliga over two seasons. In 2017, Prömel joined Union Berlin, where his energetic midfield work supported promotion to the Bundesliga in 2019 and helped the club establish itself in Germany’s top flight. He returned to Hoffenheim on a free transfer in July 2022, continuing a career shaped by ball-winning, late runs and leadership. Prömel won an Olympic silver medal with Germany in Rio in 2016 and received a senior call-up in November 2023.
