Giorgi Papunashvili

Giorgi Papunashvili is a Georgian midfielder from Tbilisi, born in 1995. He developed at Dinamo Tbilisi and reached the first team in 2013, later scoring 16 goals in the 2014–15 season across competitions. In 2015, Papunashvili joined Werder Bremen on loan, making 20 appearances and scoring twice for the reserve side. He moved to Real Zaragoza in 2017 and recorded seven goals in 28 league appearances during his first season there. The attacking midfielder also represented Apollon Limassol before continuing his career in the region. Papunashvili has represented Georgia, earning 17 caps and scoring three goals. He is currently listed with Zira, where his creative midfield experience adds another chapter to a career spanning Georgian, German, Spanish, Cypriot and Azerbaijani football.
