Gerrit Nauber
Gerrit Nauber is a German defender who primarily plays at centre-back. Born in Georgsmarienhütte in 1992, he developed with TuS Glane and Viktoria Georgsmarienhütte before joining VfL Osnabrück’s youth setup and then Bayer Leverkusen in 2008. Nauber represented Germany at several youth levels, including the under-17 side, but did not make a senior appearance for Leverkusen. He moved into senior football with Leverkusen’s reserve team before spending five seasons at Sportfreunde Lotte, helping the club win promotion to the 3. Liga in 2016. In 2017, Nauber joined MSV Duisburg, followed by a move to SV Sandhausen in 2019, continuing as a regular in Germany’s second tier. He moved abroad to Go Ahead Eagles in 2021 after their promotion to the Eredivisie and later helped the club win the KNVB Cup in 2025.
