Giorgos Naoum
Giorgos Naoum is a Cypriot attacking midfielder born in Lefkosia on 21 February 2001. He developed at the Antonis Naoum Football Academy before joining APOEL Nicosia in 2013, progressing through the under-13 to under-19 teams and making 152 youth appearances, with 10 goals. In February 2019, Naoum moved to Italy to join Calcio Padova’s Primavera setup, but returned to Cyprus later that year to sign for AEK Larnaca. An ACL injury in November 2019 interrupted his first season, and he returned to make nine league appearances in 2020–21. Naoum has continued with AEK Larnaca, gaining European experience in the UEFA Conference League during the 2024–25 and 2025–26 campaigns. He has represented Cyprus at under-17 and under-21 level, scoring against Denmark for the under-17s and appearing in the 2023 European Under-21 Championship qualifiers.
