Giannis Masouras

Giannis Masouras is a Greek defender born in Patras on 24 August 1996. He began playing in his hometown with Atromitos before entering professional football at Panachaiki in 2013. After a breakthrough period with AE Larissa, Masouras joined Olympiacos in 2018, although regular first-team opportunities were limited. He subsequently developed through spells at Panionios, Górnik Zabrze, Sparta Rotterdam and Miedź Legnica, gaining experience across Greece, Poland and the Netherlands. He later continued his career with FC Astana in Kazakhstan before moving to Omonia Nicosia in July 2024. A right-back by trade, Masouras contributes through interceptions, recovery running and overlapping movement, while his athletic background also included competitive track and field. He is currently associated with 1. FC Nürnberg, adding another chapter to a career shaped by movement between clubs and leagues.
