Guðjón Ernir Hrafnkelsson

Guðjón Ernir Hrafnkelsson is an Icelandic defender, primarily used at right-back. Born on 19 August 2001, he progressed through Icelandic senior football before establishing himself with ÍBV Vestmannaeyjar. In 2023, Hrafnkelsson became a regular presence for ÍBV, combining defensive duties with the capacity to operate in wider roles. After the club’s relegation, he remained involved in the 2024 Lengjudeild campaign, making 26 appearances and starting 25 while playing 2,256 minutes. On 5 February 2025, he joined KA Akureyri from ÍBV, moving back into Iceland’s top flight. Hrafnkelsson also represented KA in two UEFA Conference League qualifying matches in 2025, adding European experience to his domestic career. At KA, his positional flexibility has included right midfield, wing-back and occasional left-sided assignments, giving his team an adaptable defender.
