Gauthier Gallon

Gauthier Gallon is a French goalkeeper born in Nice on 23 April 1993. He joined Nîmes Olympique’s youth system in 2008, developed through the academy and reserve side, and was part of the squad that won the National 1 title in 2011–12. In 2017, Gallon moved to Orléans, where he established himself as a Ligue 2 starter across two seasons. His 2019 transfer to Troyes marked a decisive step, and he helped the club win the 2020–21 Ligue 2 title while earning the division’s Goalkeeper of the Year award. Gallon then made the transition to Ligue 1 with Troyes, gaining experience against top-flight opposition and contributing from goal to the team’s defensive structure. In July 2023, he joined Rennes as cover for Steve Mandanda and kept a clean sheet in a Europa League win over Panathinaikos. Gauthier Gallon is known for concentration, reflex saves, controlled area work and a preference for safe distribution to nearby defenders.
