Guéla Maho Lewis Doué

Guéla Maho Lewis Doué is an Ivorian defender, primarily a right-back who can also operate at centre-back or as a wing-back. Born in Angers on 17 October 2002, he joined Rennes’ academy at eight and progressed through the club’s youth teams and reserve side. He signed his first professional contract with Rennes in November 2021 and made his senior debut on 1 February 2023, appearing against Strasbourg. During the 2023–24 campaign, Doué established himself as Rennes’ starting right-back and made 26 league appearances. He moved from Rennes to Strasbourg in July 2024, beginning a new chapter in Ligue 1. At 187 centimetres, he contributes through aerial duels, recoveries, tackling and secure distribution, while varying overlapping and underlapping runs. Doué chose to represent Côte d’Ivoire and made his senior international debut in March 2024.
