Giovanni Di Lorenzo

Giovanni Di Lorenzo is an Italian right-back born in Castelnuovo Garfagnana on 4 August 1993. He developed in Reggina’s youth system, made his Serie B debut for the club in 2011, and later spent time with Cuneo and Matera in the lower divisions. Empoli signed Di Lorenzo in 2017, and he made his Serie A debut with the club in 2018. Napoli recruited him from Empoli in 2019, beginning a central chapter of his career at the club. A tireless and versatile defender, Di Lorenzo combines recovery work, physical duels and aerial ability with forward carries and underlapping runs from the right. He represented Italy at Euro 2020, playing the final as the team defeated England, and later captained Napoli to the 2022–23 Serie A title.
