Gojko Cimirot

Gojko Cimirot is a Bosnia and Herzegovina midfielder who operates primarily as a defensive midfielder. Born in Trebinje in 1992, he began his senior career with Leotar before joining FK Sarajevo in June 2013. At Sarajevo, Cimirot developed into a key central player and helped the club win the Bosnian Cup in 2014. He moved to PAOK in 2015, where his role became more focused on defensive and central midfield duties, and he won the Greek Cup in 2017. In January 2018, Cimirot joined Standard Liège, establishing himself as a regular presence in Belgian football and winning the Belgian Cup that year. He later played for Al-Fayha in Saudi Arabia. Cimirot represented Bosnia and Herzegovina internationally from 2014 to 2024. He returned to FK Sarajevo in 2025, bringing experience in ball retention, midfield coverage and tempo control.
