Flávio Gonçalves attacks space and runs beyond the line for Sporting CP, threatening the back line with quick combination plays. Born in France, Flávio Gonçalves began at Rosny-sur-Seine before moving to Rio Ave and joining Sporting CP Academy. He learns to link midfield to attack. Flávio Gonçalves signed his first pro contract with Sporting in 2021, then extended to 2030. He debuted for the first team on 28 October 2025 in a Taça da Liga win. A regular for Sporting CP B and the U19s, he scored 3 goals in the 2025–26 UEFA Youth League. As a forward, Flávio Gonçalves presses high and links play with one-touch layoffs. He has represented Portugal at U18/U19 levels.
