Fábio Leandro Freitas Gouveia de Carvalho

Fábio Carvalho is a Portuguese attacking midfielder born on 30 August 2002. He began playing in Portugal with Olivais Sul and joined Benfica’s academy before moving with his family to South London, where he played for Balham and entered Fulham’s academy in 2015. After signing his first professional contract in 2020, Carvalho made his Fulham debut and became a key figure in the club’s 2021–22 Championship promotion campaign, recording 10 goals and eight assists in 36 appearances. Liverpool signed him in 2022, and he scored a late winner against Newcastle United, although regular first-team opportunities proved limited. Carvalho then spent 2023 on loan at RB Leipzig before reviving his momentum with Hull City, scoring nine goals in 20 games during a 2024 loan. He joined Brentford permanently in 2024 on a five-year deal. Carvalho has represented Portugal at under-21 level after earlier England youth involvement, and he can also operate from the left or as a second striker.
