Fabiano Ribeiro de Freitas

Fabiano Ribeiro de Freitas is a Brazilian goalkeeper born in Santo Antônio de Jesus on 29 February 1988. He began his development with Rio Branco before joining São Paulo’s academy in 2006, and made his senior debut against Fluminense in 2007, saving a penalty in a 1–1 draw. Loans to Toledo, Santo André and América-RN gave him regular experience before he moved to Olhanense in Portugal in 2011. His consistency there led to a 2012 transfer to FC Porto, where he initially served as an understudy before taking on a larger role. Fabiano also spent time on loan at Fenerbahçe and won a Portuguese league title during his Porto period. Joining Omonia Nicosia as a free agent in 2019, he helped the club end a long domestic-title wait. He later represented Cyprus after gaining citizenship.
