Florian Wustinger

Florian Wustinger is an Austrian defensive midfielder born in Vienna on 21 July 2003. He began playing at SC Pfaffstätten before joining Rapid Wien’s academy in 2010 and later continuing his development with Austria Wien. At Austria Wien, Wustinger became an important player for the Young Violets, the club’s reserve side, while progressing toward senior football. He made his Bundesliga debut for Austria Wien on 22 February 2022, helping secure a 2–0 victory over SC Rheindorf Altach. A loan spell at SV Stripfing followed, but his progress was disrupted by three anterior cruciate ligament injuries between 2022 and 2025. Wustinger returned to Austria Wien’s development setup to rebuild his match fitness and continue his recovery. In the holding role, he is used to protect the defence, read passing lanes and support the team’s build-up.
