Federico Sebastián Viñas Barboza

Federico Sebastián Viñas Barboza is a Uruguayan forward born in Montevideo on 30 June 1998. He began his senior career with Juventud de Las Piedras in 2017 after spending time away from organised football. In 2019, Viñas moved to Club América, initially on loan, and became a prominent attacking option in Mexico. He later joined Club León, where he finished as joint-top scorer of the 2024 Clausura with eight goals. His form earned Viñas a senior Uruguay debut in November 2023, when he came on against Argentina. An Achilles tendon injury suffered on international duty in May 2024 interrupted his progress. Viñas subsequently featured for Real Oviedo during its promotion campaign before joining Toluca, adding a physically strong central presence to his club career.
