Florian Tardieu

Florian Tardieu is a French midfielder born in Istres on 22 April 1992. He developed with hometown club Istres, making his professional debut in 2012 and scoring his first senior goal later that year. In 2014, Tardieu moved to Sochaux, where he developed into a deeper central midfielder and became a regular presence in Ligue 2. He then spent the 2018–19 season with Belgian club Zulte Waregem before returning to France. Tardieu joined Estac Troyes in 2019 and helped the club win the 2020–21 Ligue 2 title and promotion to Ligue 1. His time in Troyes also reunited him with Laurent Batlles, whose teams used Tardieu as a holding midfielder responsible for circulating possession and protecting the defence. He later played for Saint-Étienne and is currently listed with Montpellier, continuing a career built around positional discipline, passing and midfield control.
