Francesco Ruberto

Francesco Ruberto is a Swiss goalkeeper born in Sambiase, Italy, on 19 March 1993. He developed in the youth systems of US Lecce and BSC Young Boys before moving into senior football with FC Bern in 2012. Ruberto then joined FC Thun, progressing from the U21 side into the first-team squad and gaining Swiss Super League experience. In 2020, he continued his career in Bulgaria with Pirin Blagoevgrad and Septemvri Simitli. He returned to Switzerland with FC Schaffhausen, making 34 Challenge League appearances in 2022/23 and keeping eight clean sheets. Ruberto later moved to Portugal, representing FC Vizela and making seven Primeira Liga appearances in 2023/24. He is now part of the FC Sion squad, adding experience to another Swiss top-flight environment.
