Fredrik Carl Michael Hammar

Fredrik Carl Michael Hammar is a Swedish midfielder who developed through football in Sweden and England. He began his senior career with IF Brommapojkarna, making his Superettan debut as a 16-year-old substitute in September 2017. In January 2019, Hammar moved to Brentford B, where he spent two years developing in a physically demanding environment. He made his Brentford first-team debut on 4 January 2020, coming on during a 1–0 FA Cup victory over Stoke City. After returning to Sweden in 2021, he gained regular senior experience with Akropolis IF before joining Hammarby in 2022 and progressing from Hammarby TFF to the Allsvenskan. Hammar established himself as a defensive or central midfielder, contributing through tackling, interceptions and disciplined positioning. Since joining KV Mechelen in January 2025, he has taken on a prominent midfield role and was named captain in September 2025.
