Federico Agustín Gattoni

Federico Agustín Gattoni is an Argentine centre-back born in Buenos Aires on 16 February 1999. He developed in San Lorenzo’s academy after joining the club as a child, progressing through its youth ranks despite two cruciate ligament injuries in 2017 and 2018. Gattoni made his senior debut on 31 October 2020, appearing in San Lorenzo’s goalless draw with Argentinos Juniors. He established himself in the first team and later captained the Buenos Aires club, combining physical duels and aerial defending with short passing from the back. In 2023, Gattoni moved to Sevilla, beginning a European phase that included a loan spell at Anderlecht. He is also listed with Ascoli, continuing a career shaped by recovery, leadership and defensive responsibility.
