Federico Gatti

Federico Gatti is an Italian defender born in Rivoli on 24 June 1998. He developed outside the traditional academy system, working as a bricklayer while playing amateur football for Pavarolo before progressing through Saluzzo and Verbania. Gatti moved from midfield into defence at Pavarolo, then joined Pro Patria, where he made his professional debut. After establishing himself in Serie C, he signed for Frosinone in 2021, and his performances earned him the Serie B Player of the Year award. Juventus signed Gatti in January 2022 and initially loaned him back to Frosinone. He made his Italy debut in the 2022 UEFA Nations League against England and was later included in Italy’s UEFA Euro 2024 squad. Standing 1.90 metres, Gatti combines physical defending and aerial work with the ball-playing instincts developed during his midfield years.
