Fraser Gerard Forster

Fraser Gerard Forster is an English goalkeeper, born in Hexham in 1988. He developed at Newcastle United but made no competitive appearance there, instead gaining senior experience on loan at Stockport County, Bristol Rovers and Norwich City. At Norwich, he kept 18 league clean sheets in 38 games during 2009–10, helping win League One and earning Players’ Player of the Year. Forster joined Celtic on loan in 2010 and later moved permanently, establishing himself as a major presence in Scottish football. He set a Scottish top-flight record with 1,256 consecutive minutes without conceding and produced a celebrated Champions League display against Barcelona. Southampton signed Forster in 2014; after recovering from a broken kneecap, he returned to record 708 minutes without conceding, a club record. He joined Tottenham Hotspur as a free agent in 2022, mainly providing cover, and made 20 appearances in 2022–23. In January 2026, Forster joined Bournemouth as veteran cover, with his 2.01-metre frame supporting strong reach, reflex saves and aerial command.
