Fisayo Dele-Bashiru

Fisayo Dele-Bashiru is an England-born defender, raised in England after moving from Hamburg as a toddler. He developed at Manchester City, joining the academy at eight and helping the under-18 side win the Premier League Cup in 2018–19. In 2020, Dele-Bashiru moved to Sheffield Wednesday, gaining senior experience during the club’s relegation to League One and subsequent promotion back to the Championship. He joined Hatayspor in 2023 and became an important attacking contributor during his season in the Turkish Süper Lig. His progress earned a move to Serie A side Lazio in 2024, where he has continued his European development. Dele-Bashiru has also represented Nigeria, offering energy, ball-carrying and positional flexibility to the national team. He was part of Nigeria’s squad that finished third at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
