Federico Baschirotto

Federico Baschirotto is an Italian defender from Isola della Scala, born on 20 September 1996. He began his senior career with Legnago in 2013 before joining Cremonese’s youth setup the following year. His early development continued through lower-league football, including loan spells with Seregno, Forlì, Cuneo and Vigor Carpaneto. After establishing himself at Viterbese from 2019, Baschirotto stepped up to Serie B with Ascoli in 2021. In July 2022, he moved to Lecce, where he was converted from a utility right-back into a centre-back. Baschirotto quickly became a regular in Lecce’s 2022–23 Serie A campaign and formed a central defensive partnership with Samuel Umtiti. After three seasons with Lecce, he returned to Cremonese in 2025, bringing physical defending and aerial strength to the club’s back line.
