Frederik Alves Ibsen

Frederik Alves Ibsen is a Danish centre-back born in Hvidovre on 8 November 1999. At 1.95 metres, he developed in Brazil after visiting family there as a teenager, then returned to Denmark and joined Silkeborg IF in 2017. Alves made his senior debut for Silkeborg in 2018, helping the club secure promotion to the Danish Superliga in the 2018–19 season. In January 2021, he moved to West Ham United, then joined Sunderland on a season-long loan for 2021–22, making 10 appearances before returning to Denmark in January 2022. Brøndby signed Alves later that month, and he has since continued as a central defender, with versatility to play at right-back. He also represented Denmark at under-21 level and faced a significant setback when an Achilles injury and infection required surgery in 2024.
