Eric García Martret

Eric García is a right-footed centre-back from Martorell, Spain, who developed at Barcelona’s La Masia after joining the academy in 2008. He captained youth sides there before moving to Manchester City in 2017 at 16. At City, García captained the under-18s and made his senior debut in a 2018 League Cup tie against Leicester City. After his City contract expired, he returned to Barcelona on a free transfer in June 2021. During the 2023–24 season, García joined Girona on loan, scored five league goals and helped the club qualify for the Champions League. He also represented Spain in the 2024 Paris Olympics, contributing to the team’s gold-medal campaign. Back at Barcelona, García has continued to offer versatility across central defence, full-back and defensive midfield, while using his positioning and passing to support build-up play.
