Éder Gabriel Militão

Éder Gabriel Militão is a Brazilian centre-back born on January 18, 1998, in Sertãozinho. He developed at São Paulo, where he progressed through the academy and made his senior debut in 2017, having also learned to operate at right-back and defensive midfield. In 2018, Militão moved to FC Porto, shifting toward central defence and earning four consecutive Primeira Liga Defender of the Month awards. After one season in Portugal, he joined Real Madrid in 2019. At Madrid, he developed into a regular defender and helped the club win three La Liga titles and two UEFA Champions League crowns. A right-footed player standing 186 centimetres, Militão combines recovery pace with aerial power and can contribute diagonal passes in build-up. He has also represented Brazil, while his ability to cover multiple defensive roles has remained a notable part of his profile.
