Emil Tîmbur

Emil Tîmbur is a Moldovan goalkeeper born on 21 July 1997. He developed in the Zimbru academy and made his professional debut against Milsami Orhei in April 2017, later helping Zimbru reach the Moldovan Cup final. In 2019, Tîmbur joined Milsami, where he established himself as a regular and made more than 100 appearances across several seasons. His spell in Orhei also included participation in UEFA Europa Conference League qualifying. In June 2024, he moved to Lithuania with Panevėžys, playing six matches and appearing in UEFA Champions League and Conference League qualifying. Tîmbur joined Sheriff Tiraspol for the second half of the 2025–26 season, adding a new challenge at one of Moldova’s leading clubs. He represented Moldova at under-17, under-19 and under-21 level before making his senior debut against Uganda in January 2022, and later appeared in a World Cup qualifier against Israel.
