Erik Thommy

Erik Thommy is a German midfielder born in Ulm on 20 August 1994. He developed with SV Kleinbeuren, SSV Ulm 1846 and TSG Thannhausen before joining FC Augsburg’s academy in 2010. Thommy made his Bundesliga debut for Augsburg against 1. FC Nürnberg in February 2014, beginning a career that included loan spells with 1. FC Kaiserslautern and Jahn Regensburg. At Regensburg, he recorded eight goals and seven assists and helped the club win promotion to the 2. Bundesliga. He later moved to VfB Stuttgart and spent the 2019–20 season on loan at Fortuna Düsseldorf, appearing in every Bundesliga match and scoring six goals. In June 2022, Thommy transferred to Sporting Kansas City, where he became an important attacking midfielder and scored twice against Inter Miami in April 2024. He is now with Los Angeles Galaxy, bringing experience as a wide player and central creator.
