Enzo Gianni Tchato Mbiayi

Enzo Gianni Tchato Mbiayi is a Cameroonian centre-back born in Montpellier on 23 November 2002. He joined Montpellier’s academy at seven in 2009 and progressed through the club’s youth system before moving into Montpellier II. After gaining senior experience with the reserve side, he made his Ligue 1 debut against Brest on 3 April 2022. He signed his first professional contract that May and scored his first senior goal in a 5–2 defeat by Paris Saint-Germain in August. At international level, Tchato represented Cameroon’s under-20s before making his senior debut against Mexico in June 2023. He also appeared at the 2024 Africa Cup of Nations, continuing a family connection with Cameroon and Montpellier through his father, Bill Tchato. Standing 1.82 metres, Enzo Tchato has developed within Montpellier’s pathway while contributing across the back line.
