Ellyes Joris Skhiri

Ellyes Joris Skhiri is a Tunisian midfielder, born on 10 May 1995 in Lunel, France. He began playing with Gallia Club Lunel before joining Montpellier’s youth academy in 2010. Skhiri made his Montpellier senior debut against Lens in March 2015 and developed into a regular, later serving as vice-captain during a spell that brought 133 appearances. In July 2019, he moved to 1. FC Köln, where his endurance, defensive coverage and intelligent positioning made him an important Bundesliga midfielder. He helped Köln secure survival in the 2021 relegation play-offs. Skhiri joined Eintracht Frankfurt as a free agent in July 2023 and has continued to feature in German football. At international level, he represented Tunisia at under-23 level before making his senior debut in 2018, and he played at the 2018 and 2022 World Cups.
