Erik Sabo

Erik Sabo is a Slovak midfielder born in Šúrovce on 22 November 1991. He developed at Spartak Trnava, made his senior debut against Slovan Bratislava in February 2011, and later joined Spartak Myjava on loan. Sabo helped Myjava win the 2011/12 2. Liga title before returning to Trnava and establishing himself in midfield. In 2015, he moved to PAOK, where he made 24 appearances and scored a Greek Cup hat-trick against Chania. He then joined Beitar Jerusalem, initially on loan before a permanent move, and later played for Fatih Karagümrük and Çaykur Rizespor in Turkey. His subsequent clubs included Anorthosis Famagusta and AEZ Zakakiou in Cyprus, followed by a return to Spartak Trnava in 2024. Sabo represented Slovakia from 2014 to 2020 and won the King’s Cup in 2018.
