Elías Már Ómarsson

Elías Már Ómarsson is an Icelandic centre-forward born in Keflavík in 1995. He began his senior career with Keflavík ÍF, making his Úrvalsdeild debut in 2012 and recording eight goals in 37 appearances before moving abroad. In 2015, Ómarsson joined Norway’s Vålerenga, then developed further in Sweden with IFK Göteborg after an initial loan spell. His 2018 campaign there brought eight goals in 12 appearances and helped attract attention from the Netherlands. Ómarsson joined Excelsior in 2018 and produced the strongest scoring season of his career, striking 22 times in 37 Eerste Divisie matches in 2020–21. He later played for Nîmes Olympique and NAC Breda, continuing his career across France and the Netherlands. After a spell with Meizhou Hakka, he returned to Iceland with Víkingur Reykjavík, adding experience and a right-footed finishing option to the attack.
